understood in Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog post, you\u2019ll find a list of ten useful words that\u2019ll help you to order a refreshing beer in a Spanish restaurant or bar.<\/p>\n<p>Spanish bars are lively, sociable places.<\/p>\n<p>Going to a bar will probably be one of your first experiences as a traveller in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>People meet often, if not daily, to enjoy a delicious beer with family, friends, or colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Beer culture is big in Spain; each region has its own brand, and craft beers are becoming increasingly popular.<\/p>\n<p>Ordering a beer can seem a bit difficult because there are numerous words used to refer to size and type, and different expressions are used in each region.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s some useful vocabulary to help you order a beer in Spanish without the waiter looking at you like they don\u2019t understand a thing you\u2019re saying!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ordering_a_beer_in_Spanish_Size\"><\/span>Ordering a beer in Spanish: Size<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In many countries, the words peque\u00f1a (small) and grande (large) are all you need to know when ordering a beer. Just order your favourite brand.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tercio\"><\/span>Tercio<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The same but bigger. It\u2019s a beer in a 33 cl bottle. Together with a box of wine and a bottle of Coca-Cola, a litrona is the staple of a successful botell\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Never glamorous but always effective.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ordering_a_beer_in_Spanish_Type\"><\/span>Ordering a beer in Spanish: Type<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Clara\"><\/span>Clara<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Fancy a relaxing drink? <strong>Clara<\/strong> is the name given to a mixture of beer and refreshing lemon drink (con lim\u00f3n) or lemonade (con casera).<\/p>\n<p>Its name changes depending on the region.
